No, all the land-based sportsbooks were closed down quite some time ago. You still see signs, but no one is home.

Too bad really, Costa Rica could be a testbed for some cool wagering technology.

I actually did find one. Walked around the city for a little while and there one was. UConn +3.5!!!!!!!!!

I stand corrected. Where did you find one? And they actually had a wagering clerk accepting bets?

I'm still quite confused about Costa Rica's land-based gaming regulations. Like why Rummy 21 instead of Black Jack?

Thanks guys! Not exactly sure what the name of the sportsbook or casino is that I found yesterday, but they paid up as I hit UCONN +3.5.
